We are currently adding new team members to our retail store. City Planter is a Philly-based, family-owned business specializing in the sale of Indoor and Outdoor plants and other Plant-Related items.
We are a super-small team, so working well with others AND bing self-motivated is essential. Familiarity with Square/POS system, Squarespace website platforms and Social Media Engagement are a plus.
This position requires strong customer service and problem solving skills, confidence with interacting with customers in person, on the phone and online. The other main component is keeping the plants alive and happy, and making sure that the store looks amazing. An eye for merchandising and knowledge of plant care is essential.
You MUST be available to work ONE weekend shift per week (Saturdays at the moment) and days leading up to major holidays.
Part-Time Schedule includes 3-4 days a week with manditory Saturdays.
Skills and Qualifications.
Extensive knowledge of plants and plant care. Both indoor/tropical and outdoor plants is required. Retail experience is necessary, customer service, merchandising and sales is essential.
Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs (plants and pots are heavy). Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
Knowledge of POS systems (we use square) and Social Media Platforms.
Strong work ethic, ability to multitask and be self-directed.
Creative eye for merchandising and creating viable, beautiful plantings both with indoor and outdoor plants.
